Every year, I take some personal time to assess, adjust, write new goals for the New Year and make a plan for achieving those goals. I’d like to share part of this process with you – and encourage you to use it for yourself to create a powerful, prosperous and joyful 2011. I hope you will find this peek into my process helpful.
In this third post, I’m continuing the first section of my process which comes from Brendon Burchard, author of Life’s Golden Ticket. This series of questions helps me to look at the year past as well as clarify what I want for the coming year. I’ll be answering them over the next several blog posts.
Remembering 2010 – Start Where You Are (cont.)
I could have made an even greater difference in the world in 2010 if I…
- Established a stronger Time Management structure earlier in the year
- Blogged more
- Gotten more speaking engagements
- Finished writing my book
A moment in 2010 when I totally fired myself up, had fun and turned my energy on was…
The entire month of November, that included the TAXI Road Rally in Los Angeles, in particular playing during the Rally and the following Monday with clients Kate Kohler, Bill Gordon, and new friends Rexx Fischer and Jackie Kavan. Flying to Australia where I taught Multiple Streams of Music Income in Melbourne and Sydney and then spent a week on the Gold Coast participating in Billionaire Bootcamp. After which, I flew to New Jersey for Thanksgiving with my family. It was a whirlwind, incredibly successful month!
If I continue the path I was on in 2010, five years from now I’m going to be the type of person who…
- Is a published author
- Internationally known speaker
- Earning 6 figures easily
- Is responsible to my family and loved ones
- Works too hard
- Is always learning and developing personally and professionally
The best thing I did in my family life in 2010 was to…
Spend August in NJ helping during my father’s health crisis and then moving to NJ to be an ongoing support to both my Mother and Father
All in all, the word that defined me in 2010 was…
Really? One word – ok, that’s hard:
- Driven and committed
All in all, the word that defined the year of 2010 for me was…
- Really, Really Challenging
The one thing I didn’t achieve in 2010 that I had wanted to was…
Again – really? Only one?
- Finish and publish Business Management for the Creative Mind
- Finish and publish Multiple Streams of Music Income Self-Study Program
- Get chosen to speak at SXSW 2011
- Edit, get illustrated and publish Build Your Financial Foundation Workbook, 2nd Edition
This completes the first part of the Brendon Burchard process. In the next post, I’ll begin the second section – Envisioning 2011: Move Forward.
